Kultur in Melbourne is an initiative to spread awareness of German, Austrian, Swiss culture across Melbourne and Victoria.

We want to bring different cultures together and encourage people to be open minded and embrace diversity. We are constantly looking for topics, events, exhibitions, festivals, which might be interesting for our community. If you’d like to add your community event to our calendar, please get in touch.

Our Story

"Kultur in Melbourne" started as "Also Germany", a student project with the objective to boost intercultural competence. Utilising social media – Facebook and Instagram, the platform quickly acquired over 100 dedicated followers. With interest growing, we realised there is a community demand, which goes beyond a one-off student project. We expanded our reach in the German community in Melbourne and more likeminded people came on board to help run the platform.
