Willkommen

Kultur in Melbourne is an initiative spreading awareness of German, Austrian, Swiss culture across Melbourne and Victoria.

We want to bring different cultures together and encourage people to be open-minded and embrace diversity. We are constantly looking for topics, events, exhibitions, and festivals that might be of interest to our community. If you’d like to add your community event to our calendar, please get in touch.

Our Story

Kultur in Melbourne started as Also Germany, a student project with the objective to promote intercultural competence. After choosing Instagram as our platform of choice, the initiative quickly acquired over 100 dedicated followers. As interest continued to grow, we realised that there is a community demand that goes beyond a one-off student project. We expanded our reach in the German community in Melbourne and more likeminded people came on board to help run the initiative.

We keep updating this space regularly – keeping you in the loop with all the German arts and music events, fairs, festivals, and much more in and around Melbourne.
